A huge gap persists between the apparel industry’s best practices and industry norms, according to the Sustainable Terms of Trade Initiative (STTI).

Duluth Holdings DLTH reported a fourth-quarter FY23 sales increase of 1.6% Y/Y to $245.6 million, beating the consensus of $242.5 million.

USITC to probe ‘unhealthy competition’ in garment pricing

The United States International Trade Commission (USITC) will hold a hearing involving Bangladesh to look into whether unfavorable competition contributed to the recent increase in the cost of apparel imported from Bangladesh.
According to the USITC, the average price that the US paid for apparel originating from different countries was recently surpassed by the amount that the US paid for each unit of Bangladeshi garments. Red Bull and sportswear brand Castore have announced an extension to their partnership which they describe as “record-breaking”.
The deal is “worth in excess of $200m” and is the “largest ever apparel partnership in Formula 1 with regard to longevity and value”.
