Bantul (ANTARA) – The Bantul Regency Government, Special Region of Yogyakarta, has involved 22 business actors and traders to sell in a marketplace application called Bantul Online Shop, an innovation developed by the local Communications and Information Service.

“Currently on a beautiful date, 22 months and two years 2022 (22-02-2022) we are opening the Bantul Online Shop involving 22 business actors and traders of both food products and goods,” said Bantul Regent Abdul Halim Muslih at the launch of the application in Kominfo Bantul, Tuesday.

Therefore, the Regent said, in the future the government will open up more opportunities for business actors and traders to trade on applications which aim to help SMEs and traders expand product marketing through the network.

“For the people of Bantul and business actors who want to expand their market by utilizing the Bantul Online Shop, you can join through the Department of Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises (UKM), Industry and Trade,” he said.

He said that the agency was ready to curate the products of Bantul micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and must continue to curate additional providers of goods and services that the district government registered at the Bantul Online Shop.

“If necessary, the Head of Service will form a team of curators consisting of ASN and non-ASN, especially experts, for example curating goods, processed food, medicines, herbal medicine and others that require different curatorial human resources,” he said.

The Regent said that the other day he had attended a zoom meeting chaired by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, and the ministers, that of all purchases of goods and services at the central and regional levels, at least 40 percent had to be purchased, utilizing domestic products, including local products.

“And each region is required to deposit a minimum of 500 MSMEs which will be registered through LKPP (Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Institute), e-catalog so that domestic products can grow and develop, and investment will also grow,” he said.

He said, a mobile-based electronic commerce application that can be accessed via Android to help MSME players market products with minimal costs, wider consumer reach, unlimited time, and a variety of quantities and types of goods is something that is right.

“Thus, what we are doing today is actually in accordance with the direction of our electronic-based government system (SPBE) which is in line with what was proclaimed by the President,” he said.
